- Implement public service provident fund for officers who draw unpensionable monthly salary.
- Functioning local government service widows’ widowers’ and orphans’ pensions scheme for local government service officers widows’ widowers’ and orphans’.
- Coordinate and administrate payment of pensions at national, district and divisional level.
- Maintain a proper relationship with "civil society" led by pensioners’ associations.
